My name is Melissa. I'm a 26 year-old mother of an awesome 5 year-old little girl. I became a single parent from the moment I found out I was pregnant. I decided, based on my own reasons, to keep this baby, knowing that I'd be raising her myself. My family and friends have supported me and kept me going through a lot of the tough times. The road hasn't been easy-but what roads are easy? Being a single parent has changed me. It has changed me into the woman I am today. I have found strengths in the places I never knew existed. Every day is another piece to this journey. She continues to be the inspiration behind this project.
I have been fortunate enough to have met a man who I married in May of 2010. He completed our circle and adopted my daughter in April of 2010. Which was a journey all in itself!. He has become an amazing part of our lives and I am grateful for all he has done for us. He loves my daughter as if she were his own. He is an amazing father and husband.
